ABOUT

WHAT is Mindful Parenting?
Mindful parenting means being attentive, calm, and nurturing with your child. Learning mindful parenting provides you with tools to maximize your presence and connection with your child and family. Mindful parenting helps you to slow down in times of stress, so that you can stay centered and calm, and respond most effectively to your child’s needs.
WHY Should My Family Learn Mindfulness?
Practicing mindfulness helps strengthen your brain by being aware of and observing the experiences around you, without judging or reacting to them. Learning and practicing mindfulness together helps families be more prepared for challenging times, and to cultivate joy and compassion every day.

How Can the HEROES Program Help?
The HEROES program helps teach families “mindful parenting” through mindfulness, communication, and connection. The program is offered in 4 easy lessons with interactive family activities, videos, and guided meditations for both parents and kids. Parenting doesn’t come with a manual, but the HEROES program can provide you with a compass to guide your family on a healthy, successful path.
In a world full of change and challenge, from child to family, the HEROES program is here to support your family’s harmony, happiness, and health.

MEET Our Founder
Hi, my name is Maryam Kia-Keating. As a psychologist and a mom, I want to offer you the HEROES program to help cultivate connection and compassion in your family’s life, and to nurture and support your child’s health and success. I know how much mindfulness has helped me as a parent and as a person. The scientific research demonstrates that practicing mindfulness regularly lowers our stress hormones, boosts our immunity, and helps us deal with challenging times and emotions.
HEROES teaches you a few simple, brief actions to integrate into your family routine: such as 3-minutes of mindful breathing, and 15 magic minutes of time spent together doing something your child loves. It also prepares you for restorative ways to handle inevitable conflicts, and to communicate to improve your family harmony. Best of all, you can both learn, and try some of the activities, together.
Thank you for being here, to hope and dream, and to imagine into reality the best possible future for our next generation of children.
